United States of the World
This itinerary includes a visit to the headquarters of the "UNITED STATES OF THE WORLD" where pages of history have been written over more than 35 years. Through the use of emotional videos, it is possible to understand the recognised commitment to dialogue and peace under the motto "EARTH AND PEACE": over 11.000 events, 130 visits by Heads of State and Government, Nobel Prize winners, young people and women from various countries tell the story of a singular path to peace that, amidst great difficulties, has often succeeded in making the impossible, possible.
Among the many are the visits of Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan with 14 ministers (September 2005) to ask the international committee for help in integrating Turkey into Europe; that of Palestinian President Abu Mazen (2013) during which he recognised the State of Israel (a historic fact!) and the indispensability of the peace process; that of Portuguese President Cavaco Silva who assigned the 'UNITED STATES OF THE WORLD' the role of "reference institution for world peace".
